Three easy steps ... and it's free!
Mylid.net is the first multi-protocol identity provider, supporting
LID,
OpenID
and Yadis simultaneously. This means that your
mylid.net identity URL is accepted in more places than other identity URLs.
| 1. Decide on your LID URL |
What about:
mylid.net/noah
mylid.net/john.smith.iii, or
mylid.net/209856710
according to your own taste, assuming the LID URL you want is still
available. |
|
|
| 2. Set password and notifications |
It is very important to choose a secure password for your new LID URL.
You can also configure to where incoming messages should
be delivered. Through LID Authenticated Messaging, your e-mail address is always secret, so
you won't get e-mail spam if you use your new LID URL for secure messaging. |
|
|
| 3. Use your new LID URL |
There are many uses of your new LID:
- Single-sign-on: Avoid having to remember yet another password
at yet another website.
- Secure messaging: let the world send you messages without getting
spammed.
- Many more coming soon.
What are you waiting for? Did we mention it was free? |
|
P.S.: This is not like Microsoft Passport: you are in full control over your digital identity.
If you don't trust us but know how to administer a web server, you can host your
LID URL on your own server. Full source code available under both open source and commercial
licenses. Download from here.
